France and Ukraine have agreed on a military cooperation “roadmap” that includes Kyiv’s purchase of 16 Rafale fighter jets along with their associated weapons systems, French President Emmanuel Macron announced. To further bolster Ukraine’s air defenses, Kyiv will also acquire next-generation SAMP/T anti-aircraft missile systems, which “will complement the systems to be delivered, along with their missiles, in the coming weeks,” Macron said following the conclusion of the Paris summit of the “Coalition of the Willing.”

Macron: Multinational force set to guarantee Ukraine’s security after the war will hold military exercises
According to Macron, the multinational force intended to be deployed in Ukraine once the war ends will begin training in “neighboring countries” within the coming months. “Today we decided on the exercises that will take place in the coming months (…) They will be deployed in countries neighboring Ukraine to validate our deployment plans and to demonstrate that we are ready, determined, and credible,” he declared at the close of the summit, standing alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The multinational force earmarked for post-war deployment in Ukraine, tasked with guaranteeing the country’s security, will conduct training exercises in neighboring countries, French President Emmanuel Macron stated shortly after the conclusion of today’s Paris summit. “Today we made decisions regarding the military exercises that will take place in the coming months.
They will be carried out in countries neighboring Ukraine, both to put our existing deployment plans into practice and to show that we are ready, determined, and credible,” Macron said. The French president also noted that representatives of the nations gathered in Paris today agreed on the need to continue economic and military support for Ukraine, with a particular focus on anti-ballistic missiles. They also reached consensus on imposing further economic sanctions against Russia.
