New Democracy maintains its lead in the new opinion poll by Alco for “Efimerida ton Syntakton,” recording a slight increase compared to the company’s previous survey. Specifically, New Democracy gathers 24.6%, up from 24% recorded in the poll of June 30.

The Greek Left Alliance (ELAS) also shows an upward trend, remaining in second place with 15.3%, up from 14.7% in the previous survey. PASOK, by contrast, records losses and falls to third place with 9.7%, down from 10.4% at the end of June.
Greek Solution follows in fourth place with 6.9% (6.7% in June), trailed by Hope for Democracy at 6.4% (7.8%), KKE at 6.2% (6.4%), Course of Freedom at 3.6% (3.1%), MeRA25 at 2.7% (2.3%), Voice of Reason at 2.5% (2.3%), Niki at 1.4% (1.4%), SYRIZA at 1.2% (1.3%), and Democrats at 0.5% (1%).
The same poll also asked respondents how likely or unlikely they would be to vote for a party formed by Antonis Samaras, with 83% answering not at all or unlikely, and just 12% saying somewhat or very likely.
Meanwhile, the most pressing issues identified by respondents are the cost of living at 51%, corruption at 22%, the functioning of institutions at 9%, crime at 6%, immigration at 4%, and education and housing each at 2%.
