Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed United States Ambassador to Athens, Kimberly Guilfoyle, yesterday afternoon in New York. Kimberly Guilfoyle will be sworn in on Monday and is expected to arrive in our country at the end of October.

Earlier, he participated in a roundtable as an official guest of Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, where he spoke about the strengthened Greece-Bulgaria relations, especially regarding bilateral energy cooperation, within the framework of the vertical corridor, the Alexandroupolis FSRU and the prospects of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). In the morning he participated in the closed discussion organized by the Atlantic Council and Antenna Group on European Union relations with Gulf countries. Today he is expected to meet with Archbishop of America Elpidophoros at the offices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
