PASOK-Movement for Change commented on Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ interview with the newspaper “Proto Thema,” characteristically stating that “the Prime Minister appeared in this interview to merely observe problems, highlighting his inability in practice to provide solutions and that he has run out of vision for the country.”

PASOK: A Prime Minister who fears Parliament doesn’t stand strong – Observes problems, highlighting his inability to provide solutions
Specifically, the Press Office of PASOK-Movement for Change noted in its comment that Mr. Mitsotakis “identified that prices of products and services continue to be high, but declared the end of high prices… in 2027” and added that he said nothing about oligopolistic practices in critical economic sectors that profiteer uncontrollably at consumers’ expense. “No self-criticism for the unbearable cost of living as during his governance private health expenses and rents skyrocketed,” PASOK-KINAL added in its comment.
It emphasized that Mr. Mitsotakis declared himself “troubled” by the doctrine that “everyone is a thief,” which devalues politics in citizens’ eyes, but concealed that he instrumentalizes it whenever he wants to absolve his ministers of their responsibilities, directly circumventing Constitutional provisions. “A prime minister who fears his parliamentary group and stumbles from crisis to crisis doesn’t stand strong. Sometimes, the impossible -in your opinion Mr. Mitsotakis- becomes possible with the vote of the Greek people who will write the end to the impunity and lawlessness of your governance,” PASOK-Movement for Change emphasized.
