Relief prevailed after it became known that there were no serious injuries following the traffic accident on Syggrou Avenue at the intersection with Kallirois Street. “We saw five injured people, they had injuries to their legs,” an eyewitness stated about the bus collision with a private car, with six injured people – five women and one child – who were transported in good condition to “Evangelismos” and “Agia Sophia Children’s Hospital” respectively.
“I heard the ambulance and went down to see what happened. There were five injured people from what they told us and they transferred them to the hospital. Five were injured on the bus. The car was here, a dark blue one, driven by a lady. They could walk but they had leg injuries,” a witness said about the incident.
Both drivers underwent alcohol tests which came back negative, according to reports. According to initial information from parapolitika.gr, the traffic accident was caused by a misjudgment by the car driver regarding the turn she took, ultimately resulting in a collision with the bus.
