Successful participation and completion of the certification process are essential prerequisites for receiving the subsidy, which reaches up to €2,250. The amount is calculated based on training hours, with compensation of five euros per hour, and is paid directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
The program is part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” and is funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU mechanism. This represents another DYPA initiative aimed at substantially supporting the unemployed by giving them the opportunity to acquire modern knowledge and qualifications, increasing their chances of professional rehabilitation in high-demand sectors.
Under the current call, up to 21,128 beneficiaries are expected to be trained in “Continuing Professional Training Programs in cutting-edge sectors,” specifically in manufacturing, crafts, commerce, and exports.
Specifically, training is planned for:
- up to 3,000 beneficiaries in the manufacturing sector,
- up to 3,000 beneficiaries in the crafts sector,
- up to 7,564 beneficiaries in the commerce sector and
- up to 7,564 beneficiaries in the exports sector.
The program provides theoretical training services that lead to certification of knowledge and skills and targets unemployed beneficiaries registered in DYPA’s Digital Registry, aged 18 and over.
