The payment of compensation, amounting to 24 million euros, to eligible producers for damages within the year 2025 to crop production and livestock losses, was decided by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Margaritis Schinas, in cooperation with the president of ELGA, Andreas Lykourentzo.

ELGA: Payment of €24 million compensation to eligible producers for 2025 damages
The compensation will be credited to the accounts of insured farmers in the Organization today, Wednesday (May 27). As noted in a related announcement, ELGA manages in the current period to settle almost all compensation for the year 2025, earlier than any other year. It is emphasized that, for the aforementioned damages of the year 2025, ELGA has paid compensation amounting to 244 million euros to date.
