The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the social tourism program for employees and unemployed individuals for the period 2026-2027 of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) has been extended until Monday, April 27, 2026 at 23:59, for all tax identification numbers.
As stated in a relevant announcement, the program will start on May 18, 2026, earlier than ever before, will last 13 months and will cover 300,000 vouchers with a budget of 50 million euros.
With the voucher, which constitutes a unique number for each beneficiary and recipient separately, beneficiaries can stay up to 6 nights in accommodation they choose from DYPA’s “provider registry,” upon agreement, with a small private contribution.
On the islands of Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes, beneficiaries can stay up to 10 nights free of charge, with zero private contribution, while in the municipalities of North Evia and Evros, as well as in Thessaly, except the Sporades, they can stay up to 12 nights free of charge.
Subsidy rates are increased by 20% for the peak month of August, as well as for the Christmas periods (15.12.2026 to 14.01.2027) and Easter (23.04.2027 to 09.05.2027).
The increased subsidy applies throughout the year for accommodations in North Evia, Evros and Thessaly, except the Sporades.
Apart from accommodation in tourist facilities, ferry tickets are also subsidized. The private contribution amounts to 25%, while for people with
disabilities, tickets are free.

Applications are submitted through gov.gr at the electronic address https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/apozemioseis-kai-parokhes/koinonikos-tourismos
Specifically, the path is: Home → Work and Insurance → Compensations and Benefits → Social Tourism Programs (DYPA).
The selection of beneficiaries is based on scoring specific criteria (people with disabilities, single-parent family, number of children, income, first participation or non-selection in the two previous programs due to scoring), in an objective and transparent manner, through DYPA’s Integrated Information System (IIS).
For the first time this year, parents with many children are exempted from the scoring process and participate in the program, provided they meet the requirements.
According to the announcement, employees and unemployed individuals who are subsidized by another organization’s social tourism program for the same period cannot participate, as well as those who, except people with disabilities and parents with many children, received a voucher in the 2025-2026 program.
Program providers
Providers are tourist accommodations and ferry companies.
Provider applications are submitted from 21.04.2026 to 10.05.2026, through gov.gr, at the electronic address https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/apozemioseis-kai-parokhes/parohoi-tourismou
