Tragedy struck in Italy when four family members lost their lives from a gas leak in their home in the Porcari area. 48-year-old Arti Cola, who worked as a painter, his 42-year-old wife Yonida, their 23-year-old son Hanzar who worked as an electrician, and their 15-year-old daughter Jessica were found dead on Wednesday evening.

According to Italian media reports, authorities were likely alerted by the 23-year-old, who is believed to have been the last to lose consciousness from the gas leak.
The father, mother and son were found unconscious on the floor, while the 15-year-old, who is believed to have been the first to fall unconscious, was found in bed.
The scenario being investigated is that the leak came from the house’s boiler.
According to Italian media, the family had purchased the house 1.5 years ago and had moved into the building a few months earlier.
It should be noted that three of the police officers who first entered the building were also affected by the gas.
