Specifically, little Katia – a child who symbolized strength and love – lost her battle for life, and according to sources from the 5th Health Region of Central Greece and Thessaly, she was never hospitalized in any NHS hospital in the region. The girl, who was part of the disabled community, had contracted flu before the Christmas holidays, which she had overcome several days earlier, parapolitika.gr learned. It should be noted that the girl had underlying health conditions, and doctors are examining the actual causes of her death.
The news of 13-year-old Katia’s premature death plunged classmates, teachers, and parents into mourning, who speak of an extraordinary girl, full of light. “Her loss is a harsh blow, a reminder of life’s fragility, but also of the strength that a child’s soul can harbor,” the Parents and Guardians Association of Chalcis Special School characteristically stated in their condolence announcement.
