Firefighters were alerted shortly before 2:00 PM and rushed to transport the child to the emergency department of the pediatric clinic at Timone hospital. Despite the extraordinary efforts of medical staff, doctors were unable to prevent the fatal outcome. According to information reported by BFM TV, it appears that one of the parents had forgotten the child in the car while heading to work at the university campus. The infant, just 18 months old, remained trapped inside the vehicle, leading to this devastating tragedy.
