A road accident occurred in Corinth on Tuesday (11/08), on the provincial road connecting Almyri, Ryto, and Sofiko, claiming the life of a 48-year-old man. According to Korinthostv.gr, a passenger car collided with a farm truck whose driver was reportedly standing outside and behind his vehicle at the time of the impact. The 48-year-old man was struck and suffered critical injuries as a result of the collision.
An ambulance from EKAB (National Emergency Medical Service) rushed to the scene, transported the critically injured man to Corinth General Hospital, but the 48-year-old succumbed to his injuries just hours later, despite the doctors’ exhaustive efforts to save his life.

In addition, a fire service vehicle from the Corinth Fire Department was mobilized, along with the Galataki Volunteer Team and the “Pegasus” Rescue Corps, which transported the second injured driver — the farm truck operator — to the hospital.
