Meanwhile, the couple’s 7-year-old daughter — the only surviving member of the family — remains on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit of Hippokration Hospital in Thessaloniki in critical condition.

The Municipality of Strășeni in Moldova has taken to social media to appeal to citizens for financial assistance to support the family and help repatriate the victims’ remains. The announcement confirms that Constantin Sîrbu, his wife Lucia, and their six-month-old infant lost their lives in Greece. Authorities have also noted that the couple’s daughter remains hospitalized in critical condition. At the same time, dozens of social media posts across Moldova have referenced the tragic accident, with many also calling on the public to contribute financially to support the family.
7-year-old girl fighting for her life
The couple’s 7-year-old daughter, who sustained injuries to her head, face, and chest, is fighting for her life. The fatal accident occurred on the provincial road between Polygyros and Agios Nikolaos, when the family’s car collided with a tanker truck and was forced off the road. The 44-year-old tanker driver involved in the crash has since been released on the orders of the public prosecutor.
