A video document captures the police chase and arrest of a 30-year-old man in Thessaloniki, who, according to police, violated roughly half of the Highway Traffic Code. The 30-year-old turned the streets of eastern Thessaloniki into his personal racetrack and was arrested last night following a series of dangerous maneuvers on his motorcycle. According to the Hellenic Police, during his reckless run he drove against oncoming traffic, traveled down one-way streets the wrong way, and ran through multiple red lights in quick succession. The dangerous riding ultimately ended in a traffic accident with material damages.
Specifically, he collided with a passenger vehicle and fell off his bike, at which point he was apprehended. In total, 18 separate traffic violations were officially recorded against him, with fines totaling €18,590. He also reportedly resisted arrest and used physical force against police officers during his apprehension.
