A shocking incident occurred on Saturday afternoon (4/7) at a playground in Agios Panteleimonas, Athens, when a 34-year-old man allegedly performed indecent acts in front of a mother and her three-year-old child. According to reports, the incident unfolded at approximately 6:45 PM, at the intersection of Pipinou and Alkiviadou streets.
Shocking playground incident in Agios Panteleimonas: How it happened
The 34-year-old Egyptian national was sitting on a bench inside the playground and, according to the complaint filed, was performing indecent acts by touching his genitals.
He allegedly attempted to approach the three-year-old boy by offering him candy, which prompted the child’s mother to immediately alert emergency services.
Shortly afterwards, officers from the DIAS motorcycle police unit located and apprehended the 34-year-old at Agios Panteleimonas square.
A criminal case has been filed against him by the Agios Panteleimonas Crime Investigation Department on charges of child enticement and indecent exposure.
