A 7-month-old baby has been hospitalized since Saturday (20.06.2026) in Patras with a fractured femur and head injuries. Doctors have already notified authorities about the infant’s condition, as there are serious indications of child abuse.
The 7-month-old Roma infant was transferred to Karamandaneio Children’s Hospital in Patras with severe injuries consistent with abuse. The baby remains hospitalized to this day, with medical staff working tirelessly to ensure the child receives the best possible care.
According to medical sources at the hospital, as reported by thebest.gr, the injuries found on the infant could not have been caused by an accident. Authorities were immediately notified of the suspected abuse.
The Security Service has already taken over the case, and within the coming hours, a forensic medical examination of the baby is expected to take place in order to determine exactly how the child sustained such injuries.
