ANAKEM: Dynamic “presence” at the two-day event
In this context, ANAKEM gave a dynamic “presence” at the two-day event organized by the Municipality of Thessaloniki at the Rose Garden, on Nea Paralia. There, 4th and 5th grade elementary students, as well as beneficiaries of the Disability Center “O Sotir”, had the opportunity to participate in experiential activities at the company’s pavilion.
Through interactive games, participants learned that construction debris is not useless waste, but valuable materials that, with proper processing, are reused in new constructions and modern infrastructure projects.

Ilias Dimitriadis: ANAKEM strategically invests in the new generation
Present at this important event, the Chairman and CEO of ANAKEM S.A., Mr. Ilias Dimitriadis, spoke with the students and emphasized that the company strategically invests in the new generation, which will be called upon to bear the burden of environmental impact. Finding with satisfaction that children have now understood proper waste management, he highlighted the critical role of adults, stating:
“The most important thing is that we ourselves do not destroy the environmental consciousness of children. They return home informed and ready to raise our awareness. As parents, we have the responsibility to take example from the way they guide us and implement in practice what they teach us.”
Practical support
Transforming corporate social responsibility into action, ANAKEM practically supported the Psákoudia beach cleanup initiative that took place on June 4th. With its representatives actively participating alongside students, cleaning the shoreline and passing on the values of recycling, the company emphasized in the most direct way its unwavering commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
For ANAKEM, cultivating the environmental consciousness of future citizens is a fundamental priority and central pillar of its strategy. This vision is implemented practically through the innovative educational program “Let’s put construction waste in its place,” which is successfully carried out in school classrooms. Bringing experiential learning into the school community, this initiative invites young people to learn in practice the principles of circular economy, teaching them to handle waste responsibly.
