Statement by Giannis Vitzilaios
Mr. Giannis Vitzilaios, Chief Information Technology Officer of the OTE Group, stated: “Panathēnea 2026 proved in practice that the key to innovation is collaboration. This exact philosophy is at the core of the COSMOTE TELEKOM IT Innovation Center, which for 10 years now, through the collaboration of our teams, has been developing innovative projects, utilizing cutting-edge solutions and technologies. Our people’s ideas are not limited only to Greek borders, but through access to TELEKOM’s vast technological ecosystem, they can be tested and developed across the Group’s entire network, both in Europe and America. The same applies to Greek startups and young professionals, for whom we open the path to play a leading role on the international digital stage”.
Services presented at the booth
The booth featured Business Cloud services with GPU-as-a-Service from COSMOTE TELEKOM’s B2B team, provided through the company’s new Data Center infrastructure. All this in an environment that meets the highest security and regulatory compliance standards of the European Union. Additionally, DigitalMarketing4U and Business Messaging Packs solutions were presented.
Finally, as the Telecom Partner of the event, COSMOTE TELEKOM ensured seamless digital connectivity and the high speeds required for the festival, with the company’s cutting-edge next-generation networks.
What is Panathēnea
Panathēnea is an international, non-profit innovation platform based in Athens, created to serve as the intersection between technology, entrepreneurship and culture. It operates as a living hub where global investment capital meets creative intelligence, aiming to generate ideas and collaborations that shape the future. The initiative was started by a team of five Greek students and recent graduates, in partnership with Lars Rasmussen and Elomida Visviki, drawing inspiration from influential innovation movements in Europe.
