Scenes of panic unfolded at Disneyland when a 13-year-old boy fell from a great height while riding one of the theme park’s most popular attractions. The incident occurred on Sunday during a ride on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. According to video footage captured by a fellow visitor, the teenager appears to be ejected from the log-shaped ride vehicle at the moment it was about to make its steep plunge. Reports indicate that the boy fell approximately 50 feet (15 meters), sending shockwaves through the crowd of witnesses who watched the incident unfold.
A report by TMZ states that the teenager was transported to a hospital for evaluation following the incident. Remarkably, he did not sustain serious injuries and was later discharged. A Disney spokesperson told TMZ that the safety of park guests is their highest priority, that the attractions are designed with multiple safety measures in place, and that their teams are trained to respond quickly to situations like this — which is exactly what happened: the ride was immediately brought to a stop.
As is standard procedure in such cases, officials from California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health, known as Cal/OSHA, inspected the ride yesterday (June 23, 2026) and approved its return to operation.
