Residents of Tyre and its surrounding areas in southern Lebanon were called upon, following an announcement by the Israeli military, to evacuate their homes in anticipation of bombardments against the pro-Iranian organization Hezbollah, despite the ceasefire that has been in effect since April.

“Urgent warning to residents of Tyre and refugee camps and neighboring districts, for your safety, you must immediately evacuate your homes, north of the Zahrani River,” wrote Avichay Adraee, the Arabic-speaking spokesman for the Israeli military, on his X platform account.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese army announced today that a soldier was killed in an Israeli airstrike near his post in the Bekaa Valley and that it has recovered his body.

“Warplanes of the Israeli enemy bombed the outskirts of Tyre,” reported Lebanon’s National News Agency (ANI), citing another raid near the city. An AFP correspondent in Tyre also reported at least one strike on the city’s outskirts.
