Donald Trump underwent another medical examination at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, with him stating that “everything went perfectly,” at a time when public discussion around his health condition has intensified significantly. The American president, who turns 80 on June 14, made his third medical visit within a 13-month period, a fact that has sparked a new cycle of questions and political commentary in the United States. He chose to give a brief response through Truth Social, avoiding mention of specific medical findings or details about the examinations he underwent.

“Just completed my semi-annual medical examination at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything went PERFECT. Thank you to the outstanding doctors and staff! Returning to the White House,” Donald Trump wrote characteristically, attempting to put an end to the speculation that has been developing recently around his health.
The photos that opened a new cycle of discussions about Trump
The discussion about the American president’s health condition was reignited after the publication of photos showing rashes on his neck, as well as images from last summer where he appeared with swollen ankles and a bruised hand. These images caused intense activity in American media and social networks, with many demanding more transparency around the actual state of his health.
White House physician Sean Barbabella attempted to calm concerns, stating that the president uses a common cream for preventive skin treatment and that the problems observed were benign. He also maintained that there are no indications of serious vascular disease or deep vein thrombosis. For her part, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt attributed the foot swelling to a “common venous condition,” while for the bruised hand she mentioned it was caused by continuous handshakes and public appearances by the president.
The MRI scan and statements about physical condition
Particular interest had been caused by the revelation that Donald Trump had undergone an MRI scan last October. The White House initially avoided explaining the reasons for the examination, which further fueled speculation. Trump himself later commented that MRI scans are something “very common” and maintained that his doctors were completely satisfied with the results.
“The doctor said it was the best result he has ever seen as a physician,” he mentioned characteristically, in yet another attempt to project an image of strong physical condition. At the same time, the American president continues to highlight his active schedule and frequent golf activities as proof of good physical condition. At a recent event in the Oval Office, he even joked about using a golf cart, when Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. mentioned that he walks approximately 14.5 kilometers each time he plays.
However, questions have not stopped, particularly after public appearances where Trump appeared tired or seemed to close his eyes during meetings. He responded with humor, saying he was simply “bored” and not sleeping.
