Following reactions from relatives and lawyers during the first session on March 23rd regarding the overcrowding that prevailed, expansion work on the courtroom in Larissa for the Tempi case has been completed.
According to the new layout and supplementary order from Appeals Court President Maria Lianou, the main space has almost doubled, reaching 452.01 sq.m. from the original 283.75 sq.m. To achieve this, plasterboard walls were demolished, the foyer was incorporated, and square footage was mobilized from the judges’ conference room and the transcription room. Meanwhile, the right reception area (109.57 sq.m.) will function as an auxiliary hall for the public, equipped with screens.

Additionally, the three station masters and former head of Inspection will take legal action against the participation of the Greek State in the trial, which is directed exclusively against them. It should be noted that a total of 36 executives and employees from OSE, ERGOSE, RAS, Hellenic Train and the Ministry of Transport sit in the dock, with 33 of them facing felony charges that carry potential life sentences.
