In a particularly warm and festive atmosphere, the New Year’s cake cutting ceremony of ANAKEM S.A. took place at a central hotel in Thessaloniki, an organization that has linked its name with the systematic organization and strengthening of Construction and Demolition Waste recycling. The massive presence of representatives from the State, Local Government, the scientific community and the business world highlighted the institutional weight of the company and confirmed its position as the largest Alternative Management Collective System for CDW in the country. The participation of so many guests was not limited to a formal character, but served as practical recognition of the multi-year work and steadfast commitment of ANAKEM to proper and sustainable management of construction waste.
ANAKEM: Strategic role in recycling and circular economy
During the management’s greeting, emphasis was placed on the strategic role that ANAKEM is called to play in the new environmental and development landscape. As noted, the company is not limited to simple participation in the waste management system, but seeks to shape a modern, reliable and transparent operational framework for construction waste recycling. It was characteristically emphasized that ANAKEM aspires to be the institutional pillar that supports and develops recycling in the country, confirming the will to further strengthen its leading role.
Particular emphasis was placed on the need for continuous improvement. Management underlined that daily work with consistency, transparency and effectiveness is required, in order to maintain and strengthen the trust of partners and the state. The message was clear: the leading position is not taken for granted, but is constantly conquered and confirmed through actions.

ANAKEM: Environmental and social footprint
The company’s environmental and social footprint was also highlighted in management’s address. As noted, the goal is to improve citizens’ quality of life and contribute to a clean Greece. The vision presented concerns a substantial contribution to the country’s transition towards a more sustainable future, where CDW recycling will be a basic tool for environmental protection and rational utilization of resources.
The cake cutting was blessed by Varnabas, His Eminence Metropolitan of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, as representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The event was honored by government officials, members of parliament, church representatives, presidents of institutional bodies of local government, mayors, deputy regional governors, as well as executives of organizations and company partners. The second part of the evening was accompanied by live music and a gift raffle for employees, as recognition of their contribution to ANAKEM’s journey.
