The Trump administration has not given the green light for the delivery of Patriot missiles to Ukraine, according to a report by The Washington Post, citing American officials and sources familiar with the matter.

Trump delays Patriot missile deliveries to Ukraine
This delay comes at a time when US President Donald Trump has been moving closer to Russia while simultaneously leveling sharp criticism at Ukraine and its president, Volodymyr Zelensky, personally.
According to an American official and three other well-informed sources cited by The Washington Post, some of the Patriot systems destined for Ukraine are being sourced from allied nations — but Pentagon approval is required to complete the transfer.
The United States holds the final say, as these are American-manufactured weapons systems, and any transfer to a third country requires explicit authorization from Washington.
Zelensky’s response
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Monday, during a meeting with a US congressional delegation, that American decisions regarding the war in Ukraine — including delays in weapons deliveries and limited intelligence sharing on incoming attacks — are “hard to explain.”
