Trump to Netanyahu: “You’re a great warrior, you’ll win a landslide victory”

American President Donald Trump held a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him a “warrior” and expressing his belief that Netanyahu would achieve a “landslide” electoral victory next week. Trump had previously declared his “absolute and complete support” for Netanyahu ahead of the Israeli parliamentary elections scheduled for October 27 in Israel.

Trump-Netanyahu call: “Together we will eliminate the Iranian threat”

In an approximately 90-second video posted by Netanyahu on his X account, the two leaders can be heard speaking on an open line. “In a conversation with my friend, President Trump, after he announced his support for me in the elections. Together we are going to eliminate the Iranian threat once and for all!” Netanyahu wrote alongside the video post.

“I am so grateful for this incredible support. You are an amazing leader of the free world of America, by far the best friend Israel has ever had or will ever have in the White House,” Netanyahu can be heard telling Trump. “All of civilization draws courage from your boldness, Donald. We have a mission to complete. You said it and we will complete it together. We will complete it, and no one else will,” he added.

The American president responded to the Israeli Prime Minister, saying: “You’re a warrior. You’ve been treated very unfairly by your country and possibly some others, because of this situation, but you are a great warrior and we’re going to prove that. We’re going to prove that very soon… I think you’re going to have a landslide victory, actually.”

Netanyahu stated that he and the American president have “a mission to complete.” “Our alliance has proven that we can do amazing things together. We still have a mission to complete. We have peace that we can expand, because I’m confident that our strength allows it. I know that our strength is attracting other countries as well. I don’t want to name them — we’re on an open line — but we all know that we can expand the Abraham Accords, the historic Abraham Accords we forged under your leadership. And the American people need to know that you have stood against the greatest threat facing them: a nuclear-armed Iran. We will not let that happen,” he concluded.
