The entertainment world was struck with grief following news of the death of American actor RJ Mitte at the age of 34. According to a TMZ report, the actor was found dead on Monday (12/10) in Texas, with a local official confirming that his death was the result of suicide. Law enforcement authorities announced that an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing. In an official statement, representatives of the late artist expressed their profound sorrow, saying: “It is with the deepest sadness that we share the tragic loss of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte. At this time, we ask the public to please respect the privacy of his family and loved ones.”
His role in Breaking Bad
RJ Mitte rose to widespread fame playing Walter “Flynn” White Jr. in the award-winning AMC series “Breaking Bad“. Drawing on his own personal experience with cerebral palsy — a condition he himself was diagnosed with at the age of 3 — he brought complete authenticity to the role. Beyond Breaking Bad, he appeared in productions such as The Oak Room, The Recall, and The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!). Alongside his acting career, he was a passionate advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. He served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s, and served as president of The Mitte Foundation, fighting to break down stereotypes and increase representation of people with disabilities in the entertainment industry.
