A shocking video has come to light from Belgium, capturing the moment a police officer violently slaps a woman and then shoves her into a patrol car. In the video, which has gone viral, three police officers can be seen attempting to place a woman into a police vehicle in the city of Nivelles. The woman, whose hands are handcuffed behind her back, appears to be resisting and refusing to get into the vehicle. When she turns toward one of the officers, he strikes her in the face and then forcefully pushes her into the interior of the patrol car.

Belgium: Mayor announces internal investigation into the incident
According to the Brussels Times, the mayor of Nivelles, Bernard De Ro, who also serves as head of the local police zone, announced on Monday that an internal investigation has been launched into the incident to determine what occurred before the video was recorded and to establish why the officer used force against a person who did not appear to pose any threat.
The identities of the woman and the three police officers involved in the incident have not been made public.
