The completion of the agreement with Iran was announced by Donald Trump in a post on Truth Social. “The deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran has now been completed. Congratulations to everyone,” the American president wrote. Trump added that he approves the full and unimpeded opening of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the immediate lifting of the American naval blockade. “Ships of the world, start your engines. Let the oil flow begin again,” he characteristically stated.
Pakistan: US & Iran agreement signing on June 19 in Switzerland
According to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the official signing ceremony of the agreement between the United States and Iran will take place on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.
In a post on X, Sharif stated that both sides have announced the “immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.” The Pakistani Prime Minister thanked the US and Iran for their stance, as well as Qatar for its contribution to achieving the agreement. He made special mention of Saudi Arabia and Turkey, thanking them for their contribution to the negotiations. As he added, a series of meetings will follow during the week to prepare the ground for technical talks and the official signing of the agreement.
