New details are emerging in the shocking Kypseli case involving a couple allegedly found to have kept their deceased infant in a frozen state for at least two years. According to reports from MEGA television, authorities are now focusing their investigation on the reasons why the two parents allegedly preserved their child’s body for such an extended period, while also examining the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death and everything that followed. As journalist Vasilis Lampropoulos reported on MEGA, authorities are not ruling out any scenario. He noted that there have been past cases in which individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs have harmed infants — with many reportedly disturbed by their constant crying — and subsequently attempted to hide or dispose of the body.
Lampropoulos emphasized that both parents and their children will be questioned on every detail once the findings report is complete. “The parents speak of a natural death, which doesn’t hold up given that there are 18 stab wounds — and they will have to answer for that,” he stated.

Kypseli: What authorities are investigating in the dead infant case
The information coming to light is sending shockwaves through the public, as the investigation attempts to shed light not only on the circumstances of the infant’s death, but also on everything that followed. The couple allegedly kept the child’s body in a frozen state for a period exceeding two years, with those around them reportedly unaware of what had happened.
According to MEGA, authorities are examining evidence that may explain why the parents chose to preserve the child’s body in this manner. Investigators are also working to determine how the couple managed to conceal the truth from those around them for so long, and whether anyone in their circle had noticed anything unusual.
The case has caused widespread shock due to the extended period during which the infant’s death allegedly remained hidden. Authorities are gathering evidence and witness statements in order to build as complete a picture as possible of what took place.
Statements from the couple’s circle under scrutiny
Particular weight is being given to testimony from neighbors and others who knew or had contact with the couple. Through their statements, investigators are attempting to reconstruct the daily lives of the two parents during the period following the child’s death and to determine what those around them knew.
At the same time, investigators are looking into the reasons that may have led to the concealment of the death and the decision to keep the infant’s body frozen for such a prolonged period. This remains one of the central questions of the investigation, with no definitive answer regarding motive yet emerging from the evidence made public so far.
The investigation continues
Authorities must now piece together witness statements alongside the remaining findings of the case in order to clarify both the circumstances of the infant’s death and the actions that followed. The goal is to establish an accurate sequence of events and answer the key question of why the couple allegedly kept the child’s body hidden for at least two years.
Investigations remain ongoing, and testimony from people in the couple’s social circle is considered crucial to fully resolving the case. Until the investigation is complete, however, no firm conclusions can be drawn regarding the motives or the precise circumstances that led to these events.
