The second part of the latest ALCO poll, presented on Alpha TV’s main evening news bulletin on Tuesday (22/09), captured public opinion on the performance of government ministers as well as growing anxiety over Greek-Turkish relations. Notably, 51% of respondents expressed concern about the possibility of a military incident with Ankara, while six in ten rated the “Shield of Achilles” agreement as highly or fairly significant. At the same time, Nikos Dendias received the most unprompted mentions when respondents were asked to name the two most successful ministers in the government, with Kyriakos Pierrakakis coming in second place.

In more detail, ALCO identified the seven figures receiving the most mentions in response to the question about the two most successful government ministers. Since each respondent could name up to two ministers, the percentages do not add up to 100%. Nikos Dendias leads with 23%, followed by Kyriakos Pierrakakis with 15%. Adonis Georgiadis ranks third with 8%, and Kostis Hatzidakis fourth with 7%.
Niki Kerameus, Michalis Chrysochoidis and Vassilis Kikilias each received 4%, while mentions of other ministers totalled 10% combined.
Particularly noteworthy is the 54% who answered “none”, while 3% said “don’t know / no answer”. This finding suggests that more than half of respondents did not spontaneously name any government official among the two most successful ministers.
What is particularly striking, however, is that the picture shifts considerably when the same question is put exclusively to New Democracy voters.
Among ND supporters, Nikos Dendias scores 53%, retaining the top spot, while Kyriakos Pierrakakis follows with 37%. Adonis Georgiadis ranks third at 32%, with Kostis Hatzidakis in fourth place at 17%.
Michalis Chrysochoidis receives 10%, Niki Kerameus 8%, and Vassilis Kikilias 7%. Mentions of other ministers reach a combined 21%, while just 2% answered “none” and 1% said “don’t know / no answer”.
