The first definitive list of approved applications for the “Heating System and Water Heater Upgrade Program” has been announced by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, with over 100,000 citizens from across the country included in the initiative. Of these, more than 5,000 belong to vulnerable social groups, confirming the program’s strong social character.
Heating system and water heater upgrade: €645 million total program
The program, with a total budget exceeding €645,000,000 and increased subsidy rates for vulnerable households, aims to upgrade home energy efficiency and reduce household energy costs by encouraging the replacement of old heating systems and installation of modern solar water heaters.
This initiative clearly demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to green development with a social focus, offering everyone — from urban centers to the most remote areas — access to clean and efficient heating and hot water solutions.
The Ministry calls on beneficiaries to check their application status through the platform and select approved suppliers and equipment that meet their needs from the official Supplier and Equipment Registries.
Applicants included in the provisional rejection list can submit an appeal within seven calendar days through the digital platform.
