Investigations are in full swing to locate the perpetrator of the double murder at the camping site in Finikounda, with security cameras revealing that the suspect likely headed toward Athens after the crime. According to sources, the perpetrator’s journey lasted over seven hours and has surprised law enforcement authorities, who are trying to locate new evidence about his route to the capital.

The perpetrator reportedly used provincial roads, avoiding high-resolution cameras and possible traffic police or special forces roadblocks. The route he followed covered a large part of the Peloponnese, from Finikounda through Pylos, Gargaliani, Pyrgos, Patras and Corinth, showing excellent knowledge of the area. It’s likely he had conducted a trial run before executing the crime. Meanwhile, authorities are examining footage from the route the perpetrator took before the murder.
Finikounda: Will becomes “key” – “I fear my sudden death”
In his will, which is considered “key” to the case, the camping owner leaves the entirety of his estate (over 95%) to his nephew, who is also the only witness to his murder and is considered by authorities a “key” person in solving the crime. The 68-year-old also leaves 8.5 acres near the beach to the camping manager who was murdered.
The 68-year-old excludes his sister and his niece from the inheritance. It’s noted that the family estate of the 68-year-old’s father had been distributed equally among the murdered man and his siblings, in a way that the local community characterized as absolutely fair. In fact, according to informed sources, the 68-year-old’s sister who had inherited the family home had sold it, but the murdered man had proceeded to repurchase the family residence.
He set a condition that in case his nephew decides to sell the camping site, an amount of approximately 200,000 euros should be given to his niece’s brother, as well as to the manager.
Finikounda: Details of the 68-year-old’s will
In his will, which was opened at the Pylos regional seat of the Messinia Court of First Instance, K.T. leaves almost everything to his nephew and eyewitness to the double murder attack:
“To my brother Nikolaos’s son, whom I had under my spiritual guidance and who always tries to make me happy, the total shares, namely 51% of the “Ammos” camping site and thus becomes the complete shareholder, the entire area, namely my residence and buildings in Stadio, that is 17 acres“.
Contrary to what had been leaked in previous days, his friend and long-time camping manager V.G. receives a small part of the estate: “To Vasilis Giannopoulos, my friend, the total of two adjacent plots, covering 8 acres, and 50% of my co-ownership in an olive grove“.
K.T. left an olive grove to his nephew G.N., son of his sister Sofia. Conversely, to his brother Georgios’s sister, Amalia, he leaves nothing, nor to her minor child.
The special condition in the will
According to the same journalistic sources, the will also states: “I leave my deposits in euros to my nephew Dionysis and manager Vasilis, as well as all my movable property, equipment etc.“.
K.T., however, also sets a special condition in his final will:
“When my nephew proceeds to sell the “Ammos” camping site, I wish him to allocate amounts to the following:
To my sister Sofia, wife of K.N., 100,000 euros
To my nephew G.N. 100,000 euros
To V.G. 200,000 euros“.
The will is already in the hands of police officers who are processing it and comparing it with the last will that K.T. drafted and deposited, in an attempt to identify discrepancies that might lead to a person of interest.
