Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis had a joint meeting and warm handshake after a long time at the book presentation by former minister and Rhodope MP Evripidis Stylianidis, at an event organized by the “Konstantinos G. Karamanlis” Foundation, under the auspices of Parliament Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis, at the Athens Odeon. The event featured an examination of the volume titled “Artificial Intelligence: Human Rights, Democracy & Rule of Law” in an evening of intense political interest. As it became known, Antonis Samaras ultimately did not attend the event, with a collaborator telling parapolitika.gr: “Personal choice. He wishes every success to Evripidis Stylianidis’ book.” However, the entire New Democracy team attended the presentation, with the Prime Minister delivering a greeting focused on Greece’s innovative actions regarding artificial intelligence. Upon leaving the event, he meaningfully told journalists: “As you can see, New Democracy is at the forefront of artificial intelligence overall.” The Prime Minister left the event hall around 8:00 PM, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis, and Labor Minister Niki Kerameus.
Interestingly, Antonis Samaras’ legal advisor, member of the Samaras Foundation Board and New Democracy Political Committee member Dimitris Giannos, referring to Samaras’ absence on social media, wrote: “some things are above and beyond politics!”

“Congratulations on the publishing initiative, you should undertake such initiatives more often. The effort is important for critical issues of a revolution that changes everything in our lives,” Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized in his brief greeting.
The Prime Minister noted that our country has a strategy for AI. It emphasizes digital infrastructure, with significant European support, and that Greece is one of 7 countries selected for AI factories.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis added that Greece has a strategy for artificial intelligence and emphasizes digital infrastructure, with significant European support. “Greece is one of 7 countries selected for AI factories,” the Prime Minister also noted. We aspire, he stressed, to be at the forefront, so we can intervene in a calculated way in areas where questions arise, such as children’s addiction, having conversations and considering it a friend.
