In a fierce denial of any involvement with the Epstein case, Donald Trump declared that “it’s all a hoax” and that he has never visited the infamous island. He maintained that he had cut ties with Epstein due to inappropriate behavior and accused his political opponents of conspiracy.
Donald Trump was called upon to respond regarding the notorious “Epstein files” during a press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
When asked by a reporter whether the Attorney General should inform him if his name appears in the controversial documents, Trump was categorical: he characterized his involvement in the case as a “hoax” and an argument that has “overflowed beyond all logic.”
“It’s a hoax, blown out of all proportion,” he emphasized, attributing the handling of the case to people he called “the worst scum of the earth.” Among those he accused by name was former President Joe Biden.
Trump attempted to distance himself completely from Epstein, claiming he had cut all contact with him years ago. “I hadn’t spoken to him for years,” he stated, explaining that the reason was Epstein’s inappropriate behavior. “He had hired staff who worked for me, I told him not to do it again. He repeated it and I threw him out of the premises. I threw him out and that was it,” he said characteristically.
The American president continued by denying any involvement with Epstein’s activities on his notorious private island. “I didn’t go to the island,” he emphasized, clarifying that he had declined a related invitation. “Many people in Palm Beach had been invited. In one of my good moments, I rejected it. I didn’t want to go.”
Finally, he insisted that if there was anything incriminating about him, it would have already been made public during his presidential campaign. “If they had anything on me, they would have already released it when I was running for president,” he said, attempting to dispel any suspicion of his involvement.
