The new MYAGRO application for farmers was officially presented on Thursday morning (6/8), with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visiting the headquarters of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) and speaking about the new state platform for managing agricultural subsidies, describing the decision to integrate the functions of the former OPEKEPE into the Authority as fully vindicated.

According to the Prime Minister, the government’s goal is for all applications submitted by September 15 to receive advance subsidy payments by October 31, while all remaining payments will be completed by November 30.
Among other statements, the Prime Minister emphasized that “the new platform is entirely owned by the Greek state” and leverages digital technology to simplify the application submission process and enhance transparency in agricultural subsidies.
The new system is fully interoperable with the Land Registry and tax services, enabling faster and more secure application processing, while also allowing more professionals to support farmers. Kyriakos Mitsotakis also stressed that the transfer of OPEKEPE’s responsibilities to AADE was a “bold and difficult decision” that directly addresses longstanding systemic failures in the management of European agricultural funds.
Farmer’s card: Digital activation coming soon
Starting August 28, 2026, a new digital process will be introduced for activating the Farmer’s Card, aimed at facilitating farmers’ access to bank financing. The process will be based on data declared in the 2026 Single Aid Application.
After the final submission of the application, farmers will be able to generate a dedicated digital file with a unique QR code, which will be used by participating banks. According to AADE Decision A.1161, digital files will be available within the Single Aid Application submission platform from August 28, 2026.
Digital file: What information it will contain
The QR code file will be generated on an optional basis, at the farmer’s discretion, upon finalization of the Single Aid Application.
It will display the following:
- the farmer’s tax identification number (TIN),
- the farmer’s full name,
- the IBAN bank account to which subsidies are paid,
- the value of subsidy entitlements held by the farmer,
- the value of entitlements currently undergoing a transfer process.
The above information will be made available to credit institutions so they can review the farmer’s request and proceed, upon approval, with activating the relevant financing.
What changes for the declared IBAN
The bank will notify AADE electronically as soon as a financing agreement is signed. From that point on, the IBAN bank account to which agricultural subsidies are paid will be “locked” and cannot be changed for as long as the financing remains outstanding.
The restriction will be lifted upon full repayment. The bank will be required to notify AADE of the settlement within no more than five business days.
Existing financing arrangements
It should be noted that for farmers who already have active financing with an outstanding balance, the IBAN declared in the previous Single Aid Application cannot be changed. Credit institutions have until August 14, 2026 to notify AADE, through the Agrocarta application, regarding any previously established financing arrangements that have already been fully repaid.
