Both companies highlight that this agreement marks another significant step in strengthening Naval Group’s cooperation with Greece, positioning PPC Inspectra as a strategic supply chain partner within the framework of the Hellenic Industrial Participation (HIP) Plan.
What the FDI frigate testing and maintenance services include
Under the terms of the agreement, PPC Inspectra will provide specialized testing and inspection services to support the maintenance of the Hellenic Navy’s FDI frigates. These services include:
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Cable inspections, including fiber optic cables
- Equipment inspections using mini drones
- Mast inspections using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)
PPC and Naval Group further note that:
This agreement represents another step forward under the Hellenic Industrial Participation (HIP) Plan. Naval Group is systematically forging partnerships with new Greek partners, strengthening its supply chain and generating significant, lasting benefits for Greek industry. These collaborations can serve as a foundation for broader industrial cooperation across multiple naval platforms — spanning surface vessels and submarines — with a long-term view toward expanding into international markets.
For PPC Inspectra, a member of the PPC Group, this agreement is a major milestone. It reflects the company’s trusted expertise and technical capabilities, and contributes to the Group’s broader commitment to developing advanced technical and digital competencies. The goal is to support demanding critical infrastructure projects, drive industrial innovation, accelerate the energy transition, and promote sustainable development both in Greece and internationally.
