A truck driver was arrested by police authorities after being caught red-handed illegally dumping construction debris in Salamis, while the truck was also confiscated.

It should be noted that this represents the new major problem that police are called to address, as Attica and the surrounding region have become filled with construction debris illegally dumped in forest areas, following orders from contractors.

It is recalled that in early July, during a surprise inspection by O.E.P.T.A. officers from the Attica Traffic Directorate, a 46-year-old driver of a dump truck was arrested after leaving the highway and dumping solid waste in a forest area in the Schimatari region.
