Alarm bells are ringing in Jordan as air defense systems intercept ballistic missiles launched from Iran. Tehran has unleashed fresh attacks against Gulf states while accusing the United States of striking Bandar Abbas and areas near its nuclear facilities in Bushehr. The retaliatory Iranian strikes followed a devastating wave of American attacks on 90 targets across Iran overnight. Iranian state media reports that at least three members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed.

Iran launched retaliatory strikes against Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, and threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz once again if American attacks continue. “Let me be clear. Strike us and we will strike back. Do not make reckless moves — you will only sink deeper,” wrote Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, on X.

“We do not answer vulgarity with vulgarity, but with action — fearlessly and with great valor,” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated.
Addressing the Civilized and Courageous Nation of Iran with derogatory language does not diminish its Greatness.
Iranians are known for their civility, culture, and strong moral values. We do not answer vulgarity with vulgarity, but with action: fearlessly and with great valor.

“The basic agreement we reached was that we would lift our blockade if you stopped firing on ships. But if you attack ships, we will hit back — and harder than ever. That was the deal,” said U.S. Vice President JD Vance. Against the backdrop of escalating tensions over control of the Strait of Hormuz, mediating countries Pakistan and Qatar are calling for restraint.
Middle East crisis: Israel ready to resume operations against Iran
Earlier, Israeli Channel 12, citing American officials, reported that the White House is preparing for the possibility of a prolonged escalation of the conflict with Iran. Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, declared that the Israeli Armed Forces “are ready for a possible resumption of operations against Iran“. Speaking at a pilot graduation ceremony, Katz stated that Israel has prepared to restore air superiority and carry out independent strikes inside Iran to neutralize threats. He further emphasized that Tel Aviv’s military forces would retaliate “with even greater force.” “Israel’s long arm will reach you in Tehran, in Tabriz, in Isfahan, and wherever else you attempt to threaten and harm Israel. There is no place where you will be able to hide,” Katz added.
