NATO Secretary General delivered harsh words to the young people of Russia from Ukraine, speaking of a “deceptive deal.” Specifically, Mark Rutte at a press conference he gave today, Wednesday (03/06) in Kyiv, sent a message to Russian youth and particularly to men who wish to fight for the Russian army, warning them that they will likely die if they enlist to fight in Ukraine.

Rutte: They will leave you to suffer in the mud and die
Specifically, the NATO Secretary General, addressing “young Russians and their families,” said that: “They are selling you a deceptive deal.” “Men like you who are thrown into battle… You will not be trained. The equipment they provide you will be of inferior quality. There is a high probability you will die or be wounded while you are there,” he continued, while adding: “And the chances are, if you are wounded they will leave you to suffer in the mud and die.”
Rutte characterized Russian losses in Ukraine as “staggering,” where, as he claimed, more than 30,000 soldiers are killed every month. He had cited similar figures in the past. “This means more men are lost in one month than the Soviet Union lost in 10 years in the 1980s in Afghanistan,” declared the NATO chief.
“This is not something abstract. One of them will probably be you,” he continued, still addressing Russian recruits. Russia, which officially describes the conflict as a “special military operation” and promises recruits high salaries, has long maintained that NATO’s eastward expansion after the end of the Cold War, as well as the prospect of Ukraine joining the alliance, constitute an existential threat to its security.
