The Parliamentary Committee on Institutions and Transparency has summoned Supreme Court prosecutor Konstantinos Tzavellas and National Intelligence Service (EYP) director Themistoklis Demiris for a hearing on Wednesday, May 20th. The Supreme Court prosecutor will be the first to appear before the committee at 9 AM, followed by Mr. Demiris at 1 PM.
Committee on Institutions and Transparency hearing focuses on wiretapping case
Minister of State Akis Skertsos will represent the government at the session, while the committee has accepted the unanimous request from the opposition to summon both officials. It should be noted that the opposition had requested the appearance of Konstantinos Tzavellas and Themistoklis Demiris before the Committee on Institutions and Transparency in connection with the wiretapping scandal.
