It is the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, who speaking publicly, on a podcast by conservative host Benny Johnson, copied word for word the line from Kevin Spacey in the legendary “The Usual Suspects”, a 1995 film, when talking about extraterrestrials. JD Vance said exactly this: “I believe that one of the greatest tricks the devil ever pulled was convincing people he never existed.” This line, which movie buffs have etched in their minds, was said within the broader context of the US Vice President’s explanation of his belief that UFOs are not alien spacecraft (Unidentified Flying Objects), but “demonic entities”. Speaking on conservative commentator Benny Johnson’s podcast on Friday, Vance characteristically stated: “I don’t think they’re aliens. I think they’re demons, but that’s a big discussion.” This is the Vice President of the United States, worth repeating. He even continued, connecting his belief to religion: “Every major world religion, including Christianity, which I believe in, recognizes that there are strange things out there.” “When I hear about a supernatural phenomenon, that’s where I’m led: to the Christian understanding that there is a lot of good in the world, but there is also evil,” he noted.
JD Vance: His obsession with UFOs
JD Vance confessed that he has an obsession with this issue, mainly UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena), and wants to get to the truth: “When I took office, I was obsessed with the UFO files,” he declared. “I haven’t managed to dedicate enough time to fully understand the issue, but I will. Trust me, I’m obsessed with this,” he emphasized, adding: “I still have three years as Vice President… I will get to the truth.” He even referenced one of Nevada’s most famous landmarks, namely “Area 51”. It is, after all, the place that believers in theories about alien visits to Earth emphasize as where they land and take off.

He emphasized that he wants to visit this specific military base when he gets the chance. It’s also significant that his statement comes just days after the laconic declaration by former US President Barack Obama, namely, “aliens are real.” Obama himself had emphasized that he hasn’t understood or observed their contact with Earth, while, in an impressive plot twist, more moderate than both his Vice President and his predecessor, when he took office during his first term, was the current President of the United States, Donald Trump, who criticized Obama for releasing classified information and stated: “I don’t know if they’re real or not.” However, he has announced procedures for declassifying government files concerning UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
