French President Emmanuel Macron sent a clear message of support to Cyprus and European security during his statements from Paphos, where he met with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, emphasizing that any attack against Cyprus constitutes an attack against all of Europe. President Macron expressed particular satisfaction with his presence on the island, noting that Cyprus holds a significant position in the European Union’s security strategy. “I feel happy to be in Cyprus. When Cyprus is under attack, then Europe is under attack,” he stated characteristically.

Referring to developments in the Middle East, the French president underlined that the goal is to stop any attacks from Hezbollah, while simultaneously stressing the need to ensure Lebanon’s territorial integrity, expressing France’s solidarity with the country.
