Israel, according to the Times of Israel, “estimates” that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was likely killed in an Israeli strike earlier today, as reported by Channel 12, citing anonymous Israeli sources. The report mentions “increasing signs” pointing in this direction.
There is no official confirmation of the information while Tehran denies it.
The television station had reported a few minutes earlier that the Israeli assessment was that Khamenei was “at least injured,” clarifying that this assessment is not based on satellite images allegedly showing Khamenei’s presidential complex leveled, but on information from anonymous sources.
According to reports, Khamenei is expected to address the nation shortly. The television report claims that, if this happens, the message may have been pre-recorded.
Channel 12 also reports that today’s strikes have caused “very significant damage” to the Iranian regime’s leadership and its military commanders.
