Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov issued a warning to Western countries on Friday, stating there would be “no leniency” if support for Ukraine continues or if there are attempts to disrupt Victory Day celebrations.

Lavrov characterized tomorrow as a “sacred” day for the Russian people and accused the West of supporting what he called “the Nazi regime in Kiev.”
During a wreath-laying ceremony at the Russian Foreign Ministry, the head of Russian diplomacy claimed that Russia would eliminate any security threat originating from Ukrainian territory.
He also stated that countries that, according to him, use Ukraine to attack Russia would receive no leniency from Moscow. “I want to say with absolute sincerity and responsibility: if what the resurgent Nazis of the West are planning through Ukraine happens, there will be no leniency for them,” Lavrov said, referring to the support Western countries provide to the Kiev regime.
The Russian Foreign Minister denounced that the West, which has turned Volodymyr Zelensky into “an instrument of anti-Russian aggression,” constantly tries to create problems for Russian diplomacy, while emphasizing that Russia must confront any threat coming from Ukraine. “Every day, those who have turned Zelensky into a direct instrument of aggression, the spearhead of aggression hatched by the West against our country, try to create more and more problems,” Lavrov noted.
Commenting on political developments in Europe, Lavrov stated that “many in Europe openly call for repeating Hitler’s experience and that of his collaborators and are preparing a new attack on Russia, with the openly declared goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on our country.”
Furthermore, Lavrov pointed out that Nazism is emerging not only on an ideological level but also in attempts to falsify history and the results of World War II: “Nazism is raising its head. And not only on an ideological level, but also in the increasing attempts to falsify history and the results of World War II.”
