Donald Trump announced through a social media post that he is moving forward with an initiative for the “permanent opening” of the Strait of Hormuz, arguing that this development serves both China and the international community.
According to his statement, Beijing appears satisfied with the decision, while he noted that the Chinese side has agreed not to send weapons to Iran. At the same time, he expressed his expectation that during his next meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in a few weeks, there will be a warm atmosphere.
“China is very pleased that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I’m doing it for their sake too – and for the sake of the world. This situation will never happen again. They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran. President Xi will give me a big, strong hug when I get there in a few weeks,” he emphasized characteristically.
“We are cooperating smartly and very well! Isn’t this better than war? But remember, we are very good at war, if necessary – much better than anyone else!” he concluded in his post.
