Israel’s new ambassador to Greece, Pninat Yanay, has arrived in Athens and shared touching snapshots from her journey to Greece. “A new journey begins,” she writes at the start of a video she published on social media.

In the video, Yanay can be seen greeting her colleagues before departing, with particularly touching moments captured at her family home, where she says goodbye to her parents, who embrace her warmly and offer her their blessing.
An especially moving moment comes as her daughter, Arbel, helps her mother pack her suitcases. As Yanay notes, her young daughter will be joining her in Athens on this journey, with the shared goal of “defending the State of Israel.”
The short video concludes with her first courtesy visit to the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs for an official welcome. “A new journey begins. From Israel to Greece — two countries connected by history, friendship, and shared values. I look forward to building bridges and strengthening our bonds, bringing our peoples even closer together,” Pninat Yanay wrote in the caption of her post.
