Stavros Papastaurou, in an official statement, condemned the arson attacks on the homes of New Democracy party officials in Thessaloniki, stressing, among other things, that democracy cannot be intimidated.
We hope the entire political world will unanimously condemn these acts of terrorism
The Minister of Environment and Energy, in his statement, noted characteristically that “I would like all of us to condemn the terrorist attack that took place today against the homes of three New Democracy officials. Blind and brutal violence leads nowhere — it does not intimidate democracy, nor does it intimidate New Democracy, and I believe it sets us back enormously.”
At the same time, Stavros Papastaurou emphasized: “We wish a speedy recovery to all those currently hospitalized. We hope that the entire political world will unanimously condemn these acts of terrorism.”
