On Wednesday afternoon (1/7), repeat draws for members of the Supreme Court Prosecutor’s Office were held at the Parliamentary Plenary, with the aim of selecting the prosecutorial officials expected to serve on the Judicial Council for the cases of Karamanlis and Triantopoulou in connection with the Tempi train disaster.
Tempi train crash: New judges drawn for the Karamanlis and Triantopoulou cases
The process concerned both the selection of the acting prosecutor for the Judicial Council, as well as their deputy in the case of Kostas Ach. Karamanlis, and the selection of the deputy acting prosecutor for the Judicial Council in the case of Christos Triantopoulou, due to recent retirements.
Regarding the first case, Eleni Karkampouna was drawn as acting prosecutor for the Judicial Council, while Vasileios Floridis was appointed as her deputy. In relation to the second case, Sofoklis Logothetis was drawn as deputy acting prosecutor for the Judicial Council.
