Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis spoke emotionally about a “shocking battle” when referring to the death of Gogo Mastrokosta. “The ministry should use her as a symbol,” emphasized the Health Minister, speaking to Star channel, who noted that due to his position, he had the opportunity to closely follow her health journey and the fight she had been giving throughout this period.
Georgiadis on Gogo Mastrokosta: “She fought multiple cancers, not just one”
Mr. Georgiadis, expressing his sincere condolences to her family, stated: “She fought this battle with great dignity and tremendous courage, both herself and her husband.” The Health Minister particularly emphasized the support she received from her husband, Traianos Dellas, saying that his love and devotion were overwhelming. “The entire hospital can attest to this. He was always by her side, as was her daughter who was always there.”
Additionally, he revealed that Gogo Mastrokosta was not battling just one form of cancer, but multiple cancers, which she faced with strength and dignity. “And she herself, who with tremendous dignity fought multiple cancers, not just one cancer,” he noted while speaking on the show “Truths with Zina.” “This brilliant and gracious woman is a symbol of life,” he characteristically stated, adding that at some point the Health Ministry should utilize her stance and example as a symbol of strength and hope for those fighting similar battles.
