A road accident occurred half an hour before midnight on Patision Street, near Koliatsos Square in Athens. According to information from ERT, a foreign national woman who was attempting to cross the street on foot was struck by a young rider on an electric scooter, leaving her injured on the road.
An EKAB ambulance arrived at the scene and transported her to KAT Hospital with minor injuries. Reports from ERT indicate that the woman is pregnant.
The electric scooter was confiscated and the rider was arrested. A preliminary investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances under which the accident occurred.
